Patient
Advice and
Liaison
Service....
When you need advice, have concerns, or don’t know where to turn...
PALs represents patients rather than the practice. You can
contact PALs if you are concerned about the service you receive from the NHS
PALs will:
* Advise and support patients, their families and
carers
* Provide information on NHS services
* Listen to your concerns, suggestions or queries
* Work with you to speedily resolve problems
* Provide information on how you can get more involved in shaping NHS services
Whatever your health question, PALS will try to help. If PALS don't have the answer
they can direct you to someone who will. PALS is a confidential service that will
work with you to help resolve any issue quickly.
PALS act independently when handling patient and family concerns, liaising with
staff, managers and, where appropriate, relevant organisations, to negotiate
immediate or prompt solutions. If necessary, PALS can also refer patients and
families to specific local or national based support agencies.
