The practice computing software is produced by a company called EMIS, from time to time you will be given copies of patient information leaflets to supplement the information the doctor or nurse has given to you about your medical condition.

The list of printable leaflets is shown below. You can contact the surgery if you want us to print out any of the leaflets listed which may be of help to you. Alternatively you can download them from www.patient.co.uk - the site co-funded by EMIS

We also carry a selection of leaflets from the health education authority but these are not listed here as they are regularly being updated and changed.

Treatment notes

It has taken me some time to find good information sources  and along the way I came across 'Treatment notes'. These are a series of information sheets produced by the same people who do the Which? magazine. They also publish the highly regarded doctors newsletter about new medications called the 'Drug and Therapeutics Bulletin' . Unfortunately as of the beginning of 2006 patients can't get free access to these leaflets but you can request them from the surgery and we would endeavour to  obtain a copy of the leaflet within one working week.
