Overseas patients - non EU patients
- EU patients can have free treatment on proof of residency. British
non-domiciles and other foreign nationals all have to pay for consultations and

HGV/ sports/ taxi and insurance medicals—
These are carried out outside the usual surgery hours for a fee. The
receptionist will be able to make an appointment for this service. At present
the cost of this service in £90.00
Insurance forms/ passport applications and private letters—
Unfortunately, these too are not covered by the NHS and a charge will be made
for the service which is payable on collection of the completed form. A similar
charge is made if you ask us to write to the council or housing department. The
present cost is £20-00
Certificates for school - A
charge of £20 will be made for short letters for school children. Longer
reports will cost more.
First attendance after a car accident -
a charge of £35 will be made for a first consultation after a car
accident. A receipt will be issued for you to claim the money back from your car
insurance company. Note if you go to an accident and emergency department - they
will also make a charge.
Private sick notes - Only one DSS note is provided if you are
off sick for more than 7 days. If you require a note to cover a lesser period
your employer should take a self certificate. If you still want a sick note then
a private one will be issued for a cost of £15.Click here for further details

Travel vaccinations and prescriptions
for malaria tablets - many of these are not covered by the NHS so
have to be paid by patients. The cost is £30 per course of vaccinations per
disease plus vaccine cost. A private prescription for malaria tablets is £15.
The nurse or receptionist ill advise about any additional charges at the time of
application.
